Wonderful KARAT

I am very excited to have this finally out there. Karat 041 (Wonderful EP) was supposed to be my first record. I did these tunes in a one room log cabin in Harvie Heights, Alberta in '07, a few days after my wife and I had just moved back to this area from the west coast. Like many of the previous Karat releases, this was supposed to have a full sleeve with colour cover art. My good friend Brian, Toronto graf artist SimonPTC, was to do the artwork. Due to complications at the plant, this didn't come to be, and unfortunately the label art didn't come out as planned. The mastering however is superb and the wax sounds great! The above images were what the cover was supposed to be. Perhaps I'll invest in a few ltd. ed. covers in the future sometime. For now, pick up a copy with some humorous spelling errors at your local shop or at one of these fine locations!

Hybrid Life Review:

EDDIE C – WONDERFUL DUB – KARAT

I don’t know who or what we should be raving about more here… Eddie C is pretty much at the top of the lo swung game, with this release yet another fine piece in his collection, equally you’ve got to hand it to Karat who have sailed through the underground scene since 1999. The track in question is our highlight so far from Eddie C, oozing the feel good summer factor ‘Wonderful Dub’ has great chopped vocal, speaker rattling bass, and really slouchy hats. This whole package is well work the 12” it’s pressed on.
